Training

General SEO training

The general SEO training is the ideal starting point for anyone who wants to understand how search engine optimisation works. In one day you get a complete, up-to-date overview, from how Google works to getting found in ChatGPT and other AI search engines.

Who is it for?

  • Marketers and communications staff who want more from their website
  • Business owners who want to get started with SEO themselves
  • Teams about to work with an SEO consultant or agency who want to speak the same language

What we cover

  • How search engines work: crawling, indexing and ranking, and what that means for your website
  • The three pillars: technical SEO, content and authority at a glance
  • Keyword research: finding out what your customers search for and assessing opportunities
  • On-page SEO: titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links and images
  • GEO: how AI assistants compose answers and how to get mentioned in them
  • Measuring: Google Search Console basics and choosing the right KPIs

What you take away

You understand how search engines and AI search work, you can do basic keyword research and optimise pages yourself, and you have a list of concrete improvements for your own website.

Format and duration

I deliver the training on-site at your office or online, in English or Dutch. A session usually lasts half a day or a full day and is tailored to the group's level. Wherever possible we use your own website as practice material, so you leave with concrete improvements.

What a training day looks like

We start with a short check: what does the group already know and which questions are on the table? Explanation and exercises then alternate, always using your own website and competitors as examples. Midway through the day, participants work in small groups on a practical assignment that we review together. We close with a top five of improvements you can act on the very next day.

After the training

You receive the slides, a checklist and a summary of the improvements for your website. Two to four weeks later, an optional one-hour online follow-up session answers new questions and reviews progress.
